RESEARCH INTEREST

My research interests center around mechanical and biological energy conversion systems owing to their excellent application for future micro/nano-devices. The catalytic reduction of oxygen, which may boost the efficiency of a fuel cell is our primary focus. Simultaneously, we are aiming to use electrogenerated reactive byproducts in oxygen reduction for wastewater treatment. In addition, we want to explore the mechanical property of biomolecular motor proteins that convert the chemical energy of ATP to mechanical work in cells and take part in intercellular transport. Our in-vitro study on kinesin will ultimately help us in the development of biomolecular devices.
