ADMISSION CRITERIA
A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria:
a. Education Qualification.
▸ (1) SSC or Equivalent: The applicants who passed in 2023 or 2022 in Science Group obtaining a minimum GPA 4.00 (without fourth subject) on a scale of 5.00.
▸ (2) HSC or Equivalent: The applicants who passed in 2025 or 2024 obtaining a minimum total Grade Point 18 in four subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English) with a minimum Grade Point of 4.0 in each of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
▸ (3) GCE ('O' and 'A' Levels) or Equivalent:
(1) The applicants who passed in 2023 or 2022 with minimum 'B' grade or equivalent in any five subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English in GCE 'O' Level.
(2) The applicants who passed in 2025 or 2024 with a minimum of three 'B' grades or equivalent in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in GCE 'A' Level.
▸ (4) Applicants interested in Biomedical Engineering, must have Biology in HSC or equivalent level with a minimum grade point of 'A minus'/ GCE 'A' or equivalent level with a minimum grade point of 'C' or equivalent.
▸ (5) In case of other types of certificates from foreign institutions, MIST will determine the equivalence. Mail may be sent to MIST email address (info@mist.ac.bd) with details of certificate and mark sheet/transcript to determine suitability of candidate.
b. Marital Status.
▸ (1) Military. Married/Unmarried.
▸ (2) Civil Students. Unmarried.
c. Age Limit.
▸ (1) Military. No age limit.
▸ (2) Civil Students. Maximum 22 years.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Selected student has to fulfill the following requirements:
▸ a. Candidates will be selected by the respective countries and verified by the respective Embassies /High Commissions in Bangladesh.
▸ b. Original certificates, mark sheets, passport copies and visa (for foreigners living in Bangladesh) of selected candidates will have to be submitted to MIST for verification/equivalence assessment.
▸ c. On completion of the verification of documents, selected candidates will be asked to provide medical fitness certificates.
▸ d. Medically fit candidates will be asked to get admission in MIST and will be requested to process his/her visa (if not already possessing).
▸ e. MIST will obtain Security Clearance of the selected Candidates from Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI). Only the Security Cleared Candidates will be contacted for admission.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Candidates are required to submit their applications by 30 April 2026 for the academic session 2025–2026.

Notes:
1. Rate of US $ will be as per Bangladesh Bank, on the day of payment.
2. $150 x 12 x 4 = $7,200 for Military students (regular meal only) who will be staying in the Officers' Mess. However, actual cost will be charged on monthly basis.
3. For serial numbers 13 and 14, amount may vary depending on the courses taken term wise.
4. Scholarship will be provided as per MIST Scholarship Policy.
5. Semester fees are to be paid before commencement of the semester.

FACILITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AT MIST
1. Accommodation:
